Audio & Video for Conference & Meetings
Online meetings and webinars are a great way to communicate with colleagues, current, and future clients. They’re more engaging than traditional phone calls or back and forth email conversations and can really give your sales and marketing efforts a boost. But, because this communication is live it comes with some risks that cause people to shy away. To help banish video conferencing fears, let’s arm you with four tips to address common technological snags.
Network/ Bandwidth Issues: A common problem encountered during video conferences or webinars is a poor network connection or a lack of bandwidth. Four indications of this include: freezing the video, failing to screen-share, a long delay, or choppy audio. So when this happens, what do you do about it?
First, as a preventative measure, find out what kind of bandwidth the product you’re using requires. Next, complete a free speed test using speedtest.com to confirm your upload and download speeds. Other options include confirming with your IT Department that this bandwidth is available, making sure that if you’re using a wired connection the Ethernet cable isn’t too long.
Functionality Issues: Software and hardware come out with updates for a reason, these updates ensure that your product is operating smoothly, secure, and bug-free. Sometimes, if you’ve neglected to update the hardware or software to the most recent version, problems can arise, and the product won’t function properly. Check your products against manufacturer resources to ensure that they are updated. Make sure to also keep the computer, mobile phone, and web browsers that you use updated too.
Audio Issues: Do you hear an echo? Does everything sound tinny? Make sure you’re using a device with noise canceling technology. If you’re stuck using computer audio, a headset is recommended, check everything for loose wires and make sure all the connections are tight.
User Error: As tough as it can be to admit, sometimes problems occur during live conferences and webinars because of the user’s unfamiliarity with the tool. Read through the FAQs of your product and complete a dry-run prior to using it live—make sure you know all the ins and outs of the tool.
If you’re holding a webinar or online meeting for the first time being prepared with the content, knowing how to react quickly when things go south, and being comfortable with the tool you’re using can all contribute to a successful, stress-less meeting.

Exercise that keeps you fit
The name Surya Namaskar is from Sanskrit Surya is the Hindu god of the sun. This identifies the Sun as the soul and source of all life. Chandra Namaskar is similarly from Sanskrit
The origins of Surya Namaskar are vague; Indian tradition connects the 17th century saint Samarth Ramdas with Surya Namaskar exercises, without defining what movements were involved. In the 1920s, Bhavana Rao Srinivasa Rao Pant Pratinidhi, the Rajah of Aundh, popularized and named the practice, describing it in his 1928 book The Ten-Point Way to Health: Surya Namaskars. It has been asserted that Pant Pratinidhi invented it, but Pant stated that it was already a commonplace Marathi tradition.
Ancient but simpler Sun salutations such as Aditya Hridayam, described in the “YuddhaKaanda” Canto 107 of the Ramayana, are not related to the modern sequence. The anthropologist Joseph Alter states that Surya Namaskar was not recorded in any Haṭha yoga text before the 19th century. At that time, Surya Namaskar was not considered to be yoga, and its postures were not considered asanas; the pioneer of yoga as exercise, Yogendra, wrote criticising the “indiscriminate” mixing of sun salutation with yoga as the “ill-informed” were doing.
The yoga scholar-practitioner Norman Sjoman suggested that Krishnamacharya, “the father of modern yoga”, used the traditional and “very old” Indian wrestlers’ exercises called dands, described in the 1896 Vyayama Dipika, as the basis for the sequence and for his transitioning vinyasas. Different dands closely resemble the Surya Namaskar asanas Tadasana, Padahastasana, CaturangaDandasana, and Bhujangasana. Krishnamacharya was aware of Surya Namaskar, since regular classes were held in the hall adjacent to his Yogasala in the Rajah of Mysore’s palace. His students, K. PattabhiJois, who created modern day Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, and B. K. S. Iyengar, who created Iyengar Yoga, both learnt Surya Namaskar and flowing vinyasa movements between asanas from Krishnamacharya and used them in their styles of yoga.
The historian of modern yoga Elliott Goldberg writes that Vishnudevananda’s 1960 book The Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga “proclaimed in print” a “new utilitarian conception of Surya Namaskar” which his guru Sivananda had originally promoted as a health cure through sunlight. Goldberg notes that Vishnudevananda modelled the positions of Surya Namaskar for photographs in the book, and that he recognised the sequence “for what it mainly is: not treatment for a host of diseases but fitness exercise.

How to safeguard your PC/Laptop
Keeping your PC secure is critical to protecting the personal, business, and financial information it contains. Fortunately, securing your computer is easy if you take the proper precautions. Using secure passwords and verification processes will make it more difficult for another person or program to impersonate you and access your information. Using protective software will make it harder for a hacker, virus, or malicious software to penetrate your PC. In addition to protective programs, using encryptions and safe practices will help keep your data secure when you’re using the internet.
